Become Love

Become Love

A Journey Beyond Loving

As I have said to many of you, “I am my favorite project” My newest work of art is love.  Not the action of love, or being lovable, or doing loving things.  But becoming love and being love every minute of every day.  Wake and fall asleep as the physical manifestation of love. I started “Become Love” project by just responding more in social media and other places with love.  Telling people, I love them, telling people I love what they are doing and sometimes with just the word love.  I am not sure if anyone noticed.  I am sure they felt the love, but maybe didn’t recognize where it was coming from.  It is not important for my love to be recognized.  You will see that Ego has no place in Love, and no place in my “Become Love” project. You can read more about that below.  The next part of my project is “love letters” and “love cards”.  These are in the works right now.  You can explore this website and see how my love letters and cards are coming along.

I am excited about this project, and I hope it excited you as well.  I send my love to you all.  My idea is to see how to turn “Being Love” into a vibration and make it stick in the air so a person can breathe it in like oxygen.  I am looking to transform myself into a breathable gas that when you breathe deep you suck in love as you do as air.   Below are some ways that I am working “within” to make this transformation.  Join me.  I would love to hear from you and listen to your journey.

With Love and blessings to all of you,

Deborah Landry

In a world where love is often conditional and transactional, the goal is not just to be more loving, but to become love itself. When you embody love, every action, word, and thought radiates from a place of pure, authentic love. You may wonder, how can one become love? Here are some steps to guide you on this transformative journey.

1. Let Go of Ego

The ego often stands in the way of authentic love, creating barriers and fostering separation. To let go of ego, practice humility and self-awareness. Meditation can be a powerful tool in this process, helping you observe your thoughts without attachment. By recognizing the ego’s influence and gently setting it aside, you open yourself to the boundless flow of love.

How to Let Go of Ego:

  • Meditation and Mindfulness: Spend time each day in quiet reflection, focusing on your breath and observing your thoughts without judgment.
  • Practice Humility: Engage in acts of kindness without seeking recognition. Embrace the perspective that you are a part of a greater whole, rather than the center of it.
  • Self-Inquiry: Regularly ask yourself, “Is this thought or action coming from a place of ego or love?”

2. Live with the Ability to Respond

Living with the ability to respond, or being “response-able,” means acting from a place of awareness and intentionality rather than reaction. It involves pausing to consider your actions and their impact, ensuring they align with love and compassion.

How to Live Responsibly:

  • Pause and Reflect: Before reacting, take a moment to breathe and consider the most loving response.
  • Mindful Communication: Choose your words carefully, aiming to build up rather than tear down.
  • Act with Intention: Ensure that your actions are driven by love and not by fear or anger.

3. Respond to Everything as Wonderment

Approaching life with a sense of wonder means seeing each moment as new and full of potential, rather than colored by past experiences and judgments. This perspective allows you to embrace the present fully and respond with love and curiosity.

How to Cultivate Wonderment:

  • Childlike Curiosity: Approach situations with the curiosity and openness of a child, free from preconceived notions.
  • Mindful Presence: Practice being fully present in each moment, noticing the details and beauty around you.
  • Gratitude: Regularly express gratitude for the small and large wonders in your life.

4. Judge Nothing

Judgment creates division and blocks the flow of love. By releasing the need to label things as right or wrong, you can appreciate the inherent value in every person and situation.

How to Release Judgment:

  • Empathy: Practice seeing the world through others’ eyes, understanding their experiences and perspectives.
  • Compassionate Inquiry: When you feel judgment arising, ask yourself what fears or insecurities might be driving it.
  • Acceptance: Embrace the idea that everyone is on their own journey, doing the best they can with the resources they have.

5. Embrace Self-Love

To become love, you must first love yourself unconditionally. Self-love is the foundation upon which all other love is built. It allows you to give freely without depleting yourself.

How to Practice Self-Love:

  • Self-Compassion: Treat yourself with the same kindness and understanding you would offer a dear friend.
  • Healthy Boundaries: Recognize your limits and communicate them clearly to others.
  • Celebrate Yourself: Acknowledge your achievements and strengths, no matter how small.

Becoming love is a journey of transformation that starts from within. By letting go of ego, living responsibly, embracing wonderment, releasing judgment, and practicing self-love, you create a life that radiates authentic love. This state of being not only enriches your life but also has a profound impact on those around you, fostering a more compassionate and connected world.  Join me, this is a great project.  The best project, YOU.

Finding Love in a Fearful World

Finding Love in a Fearful World

Finding Love in a Fearful World

In a world filled with chaos and uncertainty, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed by fear and isolation. Every day, we’re bombarded with news of conflict, division, and negativity, leaving us questioning our connection to one another and to ourselves. But amidst the darkness, there is a beacon of hope—a reminder that love is the answer.

As an artist, I’ve always believed in the transformative power of art to inspire, uplift, and unite. In my quest to make an impact with my art, I’ve witnessed firsthand the growing movement of fear and separation permeating humanity. It’s evident in the headlines, in the way people interact, and in the barriers we erect between ourselves and others.

Love and hate have a ripple effect.  What waves are you creating?

Fear and Hate Cripples You

Choose Love

Fear is a powerful force—one that can cripple growth and perpetuate division. It’s wielded as a tool to sow discord, to convince us that compromise is weakness, and that conflict is inevitable. But I refuse to succumb to fear. Instead, I believe that love is the antidote—the key to breaking down walls and fostering connection.

Love is not just a sentiment;

Love is not just a sentiment; it’s a radical act of self-compassion and acceptance. It begins with loving ourselves—recognizing our worthiness, our strength, and our inherent value. When we cultivate love within ourselves, we become immune to the propaganda of isolation and unworthiness. We no longer fear rejection or failure because we understand that our worthiness is innate.
But love doesn’t stop with ourselves; it extends outward, radiating from our hearts and touching the lives of those around us. It’s a ripple effect, spreading kindness, empathy, and understanding wherever it goes. And in a world gripped by fear, it’s a revolutionary force—one that has the power to transform hearts and minds.

Why I created “Dear God”

A Sanctuary for Love

That’s why I created “Dear God,” a sanctuary for love and connection in a fearful world. Through my art—whether it’s ceramic wall plaques, love letter cards, or uplifting messages—I strive to inspire others to embrace love as the guiding force in their lives. Each piece is infused with love and intention, designed to remind you that you are not alone, that you are worthy, and that you are capable of limitless love.

But the journey doesn’t end there. Alongside my art, I offer resources and insights to help you deepen your understanding of love and self-discovery. From suggested readings to reflections on personal growth, “Dear God” is more than just a website—it’s a community of seekers, united by a shared belief in the power of love.

So, as you navigate the challenges of life, remember this: fear may be pervasive, but love is omnipotent. It’s the light that guides us through the darkness, the anchor that keeps us grounded, and the force that unites us all. Together, let’s choose love over fear and embark on a journey of self-discovery, compassion, and limitless possibility.

With love and gratitude,

Deborah Landry
